Family & Friends

So today is my sweetie’s birthday!  I won’t say how old she is because that would be “rude”, but she’s a year older!

I was up  late last night making a yummy Lindt Dark Chocolate Cheese Cake.  It looks really good & seems to have set properly.  I think I screwed up slightly when I added the chocolate, but we’ll see.

This morning I go tup bright & early & made her breakfast before I went to work.  And I gave her the gift I got her, a shiny new Nikon D40x.  She loves photography, and I bought her a Canon Rebel Film SLR a couple years back, but I think the cost of buying film & developing fees was holding her back.

We also plan of having our first child within the next year, and if the number of pictures we have of our cat is any indication, developing fees for a child might bankrupt us

Tonight we are having her parents over for BBQ & Cake, later next week, we’ll be going out to dinner with some friends.

Moving day is comming in 3 days! I’m very excited. I think I’ve remembered to have everyhting changed over.. Cable/Phone/Internet, Power, Visa, etc… The movers are supposed to show up sometime between 11am and 1pm, the move should take 2-3 hours they think.

I’m just so bloody excited to be out of that apartmnet. Don’t get me wrong, we love the apartment itself. Just hated the neighbors, plus i was sick and tired of living downtown & paying too much for too little space. Granted we are paying a bit much for the new place but not when youfactor in all the pluses! 1700 square feet, 5 appliances, 2 bedrooms + den, back of the building, surrounded by trees. All for $1000/month. (we had an option on a 2 bedroom in the building, but it didn’t have a washer/dryer.

So we are heavy into the packing, trying to get the place all clean and done with so we don’t have to go back for anything until i drop off the keys to her on the 1st
Shaun, my oldest friend, like a brother to me is now living in Norway! check out his adventures on his new blog: Travelling Shaun! I’m sure he will have great stories, he has a habit of meeting interesting people and doing wierd things. WE MISS YOU!!!

Dawn (Rhonda’s sister) had a baby girl named Lilly Pearl. The baby is in good health, the momy went through hell having her though, eventually having to visit the OR. But they are both in good shape now.

An angel was born. Pictures coming soon (of the baby, not birth.. yik…)

Erin got a little after me for not bloggin recently.. sooo..
I’m sooo happy is pay day, though most of my money will be gone within a few hours Sooo many bills… It’s funny, I make a crapload of money (relativly speaking), yet I’m always poor lol!.. I really have to learn to manage the moolah better. Rhonda’s sister still hasent popped, we are hoping she’ll have it tonight or sunday so that Rhanda can go to the hospital… Rhonda is working on being a certified Doula, and has taken part in a number of births as a Doula volunteer over the past couple years. She’s very excited about the new baby comming.

We might actually get a little sun on sunday lol.. though we are supposed to get a steady rain the next day.. why won’t this fucking spring end and let summer come?!?!? *cry!*

No big plans for this weekend, though we are supposed to go to a party fro Rhonda’s Nana on sunday, she’s getting older… she’s soo cute. Saterday I’m all alone as Rhonda works, so I’ll prolly sleep & play online for a while… I still have a LOT of work to do on MeredithBlunt.com, so I’ll do abit of that as well, just been soo busy lately.

so glad to see you … well …

Yeah, so I’ve been away for a while.. I was on vacation for a few days last week, tuesday we moved matt into his new condo. Went pretty smoothly, had some drinks at Boston Pizza and went to see “The Day After Tomorrow” which I thought was pretty awful. All I have to say about it is REALLY bad CG wolves…

Not too much new going on, Rhonda’s sister is inches from having her baby.. I sy it’s a boy… 9lbs 2 ounces.. ofcourse, I also thought it was going to be born tuesday night… soo …

Saw a LOT of movies.. Spiderman, The day after tomorrow, Fahrenheit 9/11, Spirited Away, and other ones we rented. I really liked 9/11.. no suprise…

9/11 didn’t affect me the was Columbine did though, I guess it was because there were no real suprises in the movie, Moore just bundled up all the information into a nice littel package. Really makes you wonder just how the fuck George is still in power and why no-one has taken him out yet…

ofcourse, the whole opening scene about how he stole the election (or how it was stolen for him) was pretty enraging. I remember reading about it and watching it on the news, not being able to fathom how the hell he got away with it. Thank-you Fox.

Anyway, on to other matters… It’s fucking sucked here for the past few days, its been raining for about 4 days, and is supposed to continue on into the weekend. This summer has blown so far.

I saw a new story about some farmers out west who now have the opposit problem they had a couple years back, the land is soaked, and the crops are being drowned. 2 years ago, they’de have killed for a couple days of rain, now it won’t stop.
